Victoria 6 and Renderosity

Trying to get back in the DAZ game, I bought Victoria 6, then was annoyed to find out that she has no upper body/ Lower body morphs-- do I have to buy Gia to get these?
Also, I've got Gravure boxing gloves from Renderosity, as well as Ultimate Catfight poses, and have NO idea how to install them in the DAZ library. Any help?

The morph set is a separate package. None of the G2F bases include it. And it isn't specific to Victoria 6. It's Genesis 2 Female body morphs, and works on all of them. There's a head morphs package too. Same for Genesis 2 Male. You don't actually need any of the named figure base targets to be able to build your own characters. The base targets make it easier to have a good starting place for specific "types" though.
As to the Rendo stuff. Poser stuff generally all lives in the runtime folder and the Studio Library does have a runtime folder. I find it easier to install everything where it wants to go, in the Content folder, i.e., inside or outside the runtime folder; and then in the Content Manager point the Content Manager at that content folder twice, once as Studio content and once as Poser content, and switch between those categories as needed. (Poser content *only* shows up as things that are inside the runtime folder, so you need to put the .pz3 Scene files in there as well.) But then, I don't use smart content, so it may be different for that.
Generally I think content, in DS format, from Renderosity comes with a Content folder in the zip - you need to merge the files and folders from that with your actual content directory, My Library, My DAZ 3D Library or whatever. you use. If it's Poser content then you need to merge the Runtime folder from the zip with the Runtime folder in your content directory.
Is there something wrong w/ my content manager? When I click 'Start DAZ content management service", it just flickers and disappears? Still no luck getting my new poses into DAZ library.
Oh. Are the Boxing gloves D|S content?
Well in that case it's just a matter of manually putting the files where the folders say they belong. There's no DIM for non-DAZ content, but the folder structure should be labeled the same. Data in the data folder, People in the People folder Runtime in the Runtime folder -- in whatever subfolders are indicated.
There's a growing amount of D|S content since G2F came out on Rendo, a little bit on RDNA and there are probably some other sites that have it too. Sometimes their folder structure includes Poser-style content as well ( which is to say, things in various runtime subfolders). It makes it a little harder to get at the alternate textures, but they can be accessed either through the Studio or the Poser Content libraries that show up in your content tab.
This is the primary morph pack for the Genesis 2 Female

It is not dependant on anything but G2F but can be mixed with any G2F character shape.
Thank you!
Still working on getting those darn poses into my DAZ library, though.
The flicker is just a DOS prompt (or Mac terminal window, I assume, on a Mac) showing as the commands are executed. if you have anything showing in Smart Content then the service is running.
I'm really close to giving up! No matter what I do, or how I place them, these poses show up on my content list, but they simply refuse to work! HELP!
can you post screenshots?
are you referring Ultimate Catfight Collection - Part 1 or 2 for V4?
hmm, catfight seems a popular catagory :)
Yes, that's it exactly.
Do you have a figure selected when you try to apply the pose? Is there an error message?
these are pz2 files. so they would go into your poser runtime path
Runtime\Libraries\Pose\Darkworld Poses\!Ultimate Catfight Collection 1\
Runtime\Libraries\Pose\Darkworld Poses\!Ultimate Catfight Collection 1\!Prepare to Fight\
Runtime\Libraries\Pose\Darkworld Poses\!Ultimate Catfight Collection 1\!Prepare to Fight\01 Dark.png

Gravure gloves are also for the poser runtime

JOdel, you mentioned a D|S file -- would it work if I simply replaced the pz ending w/ D/S ?
No, the files have completely different formats. Changing the extension might make it visible, but it wouldn't function.
does the DS install create a poser folder for ya if you don't have poser installed?
it's fairly easy, right, to add a new library folder? you should just have to tell ds it's in poser format.
and then these items are for V4.
i've never tried a V4 pose on V6
DS will have a Runtime folder inside the content folder for Poser-format content.
Misty Whisky-- THANK YOU!! I finally installed the poses properly, and next comes the gloves. Assuming they work w/ V6 in the first place. LOL.
kewl
well, hopefully autofit will make the gloves fit V6
i tried to find you a utube tutt on installing and using poser content in ds. :-S
