There's a website called Sheepit at
https://www.sheepit-renderfarm.com/
who are working on a free distributed render farm. The basic premise is that when you sign up for the service, you volunteer to let the farm use your computer for rendering by running a Javascript box. In return, you can use the other computers in the farm to render your own projects! Unfortunately, it only works for Blender internal renderer right now, but hopefully someone will make one for 3Delight/Firefly/Luxrender/Octane/Cycles soon.

I could see them implementing something like this for Luxrender, but not 3Delight.

3Delight is a commercial render engine. It comes free with DAZ studio and you can get one free license directly from 3Delight for a cpu limited batch render, but 3Delight is anything but free for render farm usage, I doubt that even the expensive licenses allow you to render other peoples work.

Most of the resources in your scenes can't be distributed that way period.
