DAZ Horse 2 mane question

I've just used the DAZ Horse 2 in a render and I'm very unhappy with the mane. I'm going to have to leave the mane off and draw it the way I want it - blowing madly in the wind!

The trouble with the mane is that when you raise the horse up on his hind legs in a pose of fury, the mane can't be made to hang down with gravity. There *is* a morph to make the mane move a bit, but it's useless for anything but mild, gentle poses.

Has anyone made an add-on (I can't find one at DAZ) that works like figure or prop hair? I'd love something that could be made to do what a mane would really do in relation to gravity, when trotting or galloping, and in a breeze and high wind. Hair for the horse!

I haven't fooled with the tail much. Could be it could use some wind-tweaks as well.

And, just as a side-issue, I wanted to make my horse look wild-eyed, but I couldn't find a way to open his eyes wide enough. I've got this snorting, rearing, fearsome devil of a stallion with a mane that knows no gravity or wind and eyes that look as passive as a sheep's.

Post-work, I can do. But I'd love it if the morphs could save me the trouble. :)

No morph add ons for the Horse 2. What's in the Pro bundle and the few other products in the store is pretty much it. There are some presets for the free Look at my Hair player or the full Look at my Hair plugin available here at DAZ

    http://www.furrythings.com/presets/

However, at present, the hair created is not truly dynamic. Any gravity or wind effects have to be styled when creating the hair.

If you have the original MilHorse you might want to check out CWRW over at Rendo. The mane and tail packs and pose packs are excellent.

The manes and tails are psd layers so you could try fittig time or blending them with Horse 2. If you check the forum search there was a MilHorse clone for Horse 2 at one point. At least I hope it is in these forums and not the old ones. Especially now that the old ones seem to be down.

Ok, did find a link for the uv switch and the clone. You can download them from this site

    https://sites.google.com/site/crblackthorne/downloads

    Hope this helps.

I have one of those sets and they will work with Daz Horse 2 as well. Here is one example of mine http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/22670/

Edited to add: I don't have the clone.

Iirc, there was a free mane created and released on sharecg. I can't remember who did it though...

Wow! That free morphing mane looks fantastic! That's exactly what I was imagining.

And now I have the great psd manes and tails, too.

I love having options, especially right after not having any. :D

Here's my first try of the CWRW The Elegant Equine Mane 'N Tail Pack 2 over at Renderosity.

I LOVE it! And I haven't even read the instructions yet.

I predict a lot of horsey goodness from Tallulahdahling.

Title (for now): "Sic 'em, Thunder!"

The male character is Boris for G2Male, bought here at DAZ, with face tweaks by me. Horse - DAZ Horse 2. Rendered in D/S and postworked in Photoshop Elements 7 and Filter Forge 4.
