Been thinking of doing a feature on German WWII rocket technology. I can model the rockets, but can't do the human figures and uniforms acceptably. How would I go about commissioning this?

What exactly are you looking for as far as uniforms? There is a well done set over at Rendo called "German SS Black Uniform WWII" I would have posted the link but it would probbly get deleted since it isn't a DAZ store link. If you are looking for something not quite so acurate, try looking in Powerage's store and he has a grey German military uniform that may fit the bill for you.
there is a ss uniform at rendero
I am not very familiar with Daz. My focus is upon CAD largely.
Having super realistic CAD machines is great, but if the human figures don't match it then it looks fake.
What would it cost for someone to assemble some Nazi style figures? Otherwise its back to yet another learning curve for me!
Check out the vendor Tannenbaum, Vanishing point, A3DHD and BAT at Rendo, they all have uniforms for M3 / V3 /M4 /V4
Nothing newer though. Powerage has a German officer too.
Thanks, so what do you do?
Buy a "uniform" and fit it to a model?
What do people here charge to create these for you?
Be prepared to pay thousands of dollars for "your own private model".
I use M3/M4Genesis/Genesis 2 for my soldier renders. Must stuff can autofit pretty good, specially on G2M. The M3 stuff has a tendency to "break apart" though. You can maybe hire someone to make a Genesis or G2M version of some of those a little cheaper as there is no modeling "just rigging" involved, still days of work and those poor artists really needs to eat at least once a day *grin*
At content paradise they have a german soldier outfit for m3 which is free
"WWII German Wehrmacht Soldier Uniform & Props for Michael 3"
aslo:
"WWII German Cmndr"
I've also seen Hitler, German vehicles and weaponry.
I'd recommend doing a search for the search term "German'
There is also a low poly set called Vogel (1 & 2) with seven different figures for far away renders, not suitable for close ups.
I use them on the ridge here...
