Daz Studio has destroyed me

Just been on holiday and have to acknowledge; Daz Studio has destroyed me.

Everytime I watched something, I made reflections like:

"Nice diffuse color on the sea. Maybe I could tune down the specular"
"Pretty girl over there. Let see what happens if I narrow her waist a bit"
"Nice club! Got to buy it. Don't even wait for a sale"

I'm the same way with scenes. "I really wish I had as a DS scene."

Recently watched the newest Captain America and I got GenX2 so I could move my old MRL Elena morph to G2F to make some Black Widow / CA renders. Had to improvise with CA though : /

Same thing happened to me all the time when I first learned Poser. Funny phenomenon.

But after a couple or three years, it only occurs once in a while.

I once spent a day taking photos of empty fields and deserted roads, just so I could use them as render backgrounds. (Yes, I have a good camera.)

I'm 5 years in and I still see 3D in all my real life days. When does the fade start again? I was watching TV this evening and I said out load I have the morphs to model his face for a character...

So hard bad is it if you also dream about 3D, either that the dream is all models and props or your using the program or having a conversation about such. I am not making any claims that this has happened to me...I am still sane and have a Dr.'s letter to prove it.

    Greetings,
I can't help it, I'll look at someone's outfit, and mention to my partner that I have the stuff to render that... It's easier when it's someone on TV; in person I feel a bit psycho, even though they don't know I'm whispering about them.

I look at people I pass while driving for layering inspiration...

When I'm at the grocery store I use to think There goes that figure with that hair and that clothing set, and sometimes I see a face and think ooh, that morph could have been done a little better, the nose is way to big or the eyes are to deep.

I think this one may lead to problems ...
Asking her were her parameters tab is ... LOL

Hair is my big passion ... looking at people and thinking "That's by Outoftouch" or "I have that freebie in my list".

Glad to see I am not the only one suffering from 3D-ebola.

Just found that there is actually a name for this. It is called "Tetris Syndrome" and occurs when you do something so intensly that it creates brain patterns that carries over to occur in totally different situtations than the ones which was the cause for it. Another example of this phenomenon is "Sealegs", where you after a while att sea still feel the rolling of the waves though your standing on firm ground.

I do not suffer from this in the same way as all you lovely people. My twist is simply that I pay more attention to lighting and shading. Just this weekend while walking my dog I was thinking about how the outdoor lighting was and which of the presets was it and how it could be punched up. The colors being so "drab" and lifeless.

When I am tired I keep saying I want to make clothes for Julie. I mean the Gen 5 teen who also has a G2F shape.

Actually I wish there was a G2F little girl that I can make stuff for. I do not think there is a G2F baby.

Just do the growing up morphs set to the 5 year old and scale everything down by 50%. Terrifying.

so make some girl clothing for G2F then use growing up morphs to make her a girl?

It happened to me. I see the world differently and in more detail so I class that as a positive. :)

I find myself dissecting any 3D CGI I see... especially hair and such :-) Watching "Frozen" was a chore.

I am spoiled by smart content. sometimes I cannot find stuff in smart content which means either three things, it is not installed, I do not have it, or it is installed and there is no smart content for it.

I cannot remember anymore what I bought and what I did not buy.

The problem arises when you expect the stuff in your realworld drawers and wardrobe to be smart content ... or you open your content library expecting to find your own clothes presented to you dependent on the weather ...

I wish I could edit the clothes textures in Photoshop to remove stains.

I notice that my feldspars have a lot of SSS...

I sometimes think that about other things, too.

Every day while I'm shaving I keep noticing how well my face texture and neck texture fit together. I don't notice the huge drop in resolution from my face to my neck. Am I not the Daz figure that I always thought I was? Sometimes I wish I could remove the limits from some of my morphs, especially on the toast area where I cannot seem to find a texture to match the rest of my body. Something must be off here. I cannot seem to get Daz to realize that we need more ethnic toast textures around here.

I've not been hit by that virus yet. I often experience the opposite however: "How much work would it take to reproduce that landscape, thing, person, or whatever, in 3D?"
