Can a clothing group have more than one bone in it?

I'm making a hood and need to know if I have to make morphs to bend the topknot or if I can use an extra bone in the head group to do the deed.

    you can add as many bones as you want!
    you then weightpaint with the weight brush the polys you want it to influence
    I do this all the time to hairs and skirts made and rigged by others and V4 etc stuff after autofitting to genesis losing the extra bones.
    there is a tutorial by Daz on youtube on rigging extra bones I will link.
