Hello all!
Not sure if this problem has come about for anyone else or if im missing something quite obvious but, every time i go to use either the Gummy and plastic shaders or the shaders base im getting this error message
/data/Age of Armour/Subsurface Shaders/AoA_Subsurface/AoA_Subsurface.dsf
I tried downloading the SG&PS; manually but the file doesn't seem to be in there either. Am i missing something would there be a reason this message is appearing?
Thanks in advance all

Have you installed the Default Lights and Shaders for DAZ Studio pack, one of the parts of the DAZ Studio package?
Yup, looking at the install manager its telling me they have been installed also :-/

+1 - i bought them too.
product says requires : http://www.daz3d.com/software-and-tutorial-sale/subsurface-shader-base
do you have those installed?
I do indeed Misty :) one of the first things i checked just to make sure lol. The error message appears even when trying to use the Shader Base.

i'm still installing everything. gummy will be the 1st thing to test -it's so adorable looking.
haha, one of the reasons i decided to get it! i saw ALOT of potential with it with sooo much stuff in my Runtime! you'll have to let me know if your getting the same error message :)

They are working for me, and I have the current versions of the files installed. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the shader and lights package, and if that fails the separate SSS shader package.
Ok, so uninstalled the lights and both SSS packages, reinstalled them but still getting this same asset missing error

Make sure that the location you installed them to is listed as a DS-format content folder in DS.
Im using the Daz installer, would it do this automatically and how would i go about checking?
Ive just done a search for the file in question (Subsurface.dsf) and it finds it, it even finds it in the directory that daz is saying it CANT find it
The full address on my computer is MY DAZ 3D library/data/Age of Armour/Subsurface Shaders/AoA_Subsurface/AoA_Subsurface.dsf
Can you in DS go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the DS-format and Poser-format sections, and post a screenshot?
i COuld do and was going to, but in a stupid attempt to be smart, i thought 'hey, ill add the directory to the list! that'll fix it!' .... yeah, that didnt work PLUS its removed the list that was there and ive no idea how to revert back! grrrr

So, how do i revert back and fix my mess? lol

AAConsidering none of your content paths are set up correctly I'm surprised you have not had more errors. Here is the Proper way to set up Content paths for both the default DAZ Studio content Folder and the new DAZ Studio Install Manager (DIM) content folder, as shown in DAZ Studio Content Directory Manager...
where is the content directory manager? i looked under tabs, panes, hovered over icons. ;~
the gummy worked for me.
when you updated ds version, were there any funky messages?
when i did mine it gave me popup messages about not being able to copy utilities.
i did my best to get a clean install.
used the program uninstall.
rebooted.
manually deleted the ds program folder and cms folder
(didn't touch the content library or app folders)
then ran the install.
had to re-drop all the shader utilities that came in the zip files.
had to re-installed plugins like lamh player,
it remembered all my customizes so it wasn't all that painful.
i leave the cms running for carrara but i donn't manually do anything to it.
don't know how painful it would be for you to delete the cms folder for a clean install.
i don't use the default install paths.
doh! Thanks. i always forget about that options box
Thankyou all sooo much for the help! after redirecting my folders as per what you showed Jaderail, all things are working correctly :D i had to redo the meta data as somehow id managed to stop that working too! haha. Ahh DAZ how far youve come from when i was first using you lol.
Ms Blue! it is indeed a blast from the past! after a somewhat timely absence of myself and my muse, i have returned to haunt the halls once more! I hope everything is well with yourself :)
