Is there any script available for converting Genesis 8 clothing to Genesis 2 version?

Hell, I think a clothing converter for everything from Victoria 1 to Genesis 8 and back would be awesome. How many great clothing items did V2, V3, and V4 have that would look great on G2, G3, and G8? and of course if we're doing it for the females, we have to do it for the males. I know it's a lot to ask, but seriously, this needs to be done!

There's this product for going from G3 to G2: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-for-genesis-2-female-s (there's one for the males too).

The best way to go from G8 to G3 is to follow this tutorial: https://www.deviantart.com/sickleyield/journal/Tutorial-Convert-Clothing-G3-to-G8-G8-to-G3-686682065 . Once you've done that, you could use the above product to get the rest of the way to G2.

Probably not all that many. I'm sure they were great by the standards of fifteen years ago, but how many would really pass muster today? Autofitting clothing from other figures is a pretty hit-and-miss process at the best of times, but for stuff as ancient as V2 would it really be worth it?

There are already autofit clones to go from generation 3 to G1 or G3, and from V4/M4 to all versions of Genesis.

Yes it's possible by creating an autofit clone.

DAZ doesn't want backward compatibility.. so in the store you'll find clones from G1 to G2 or from G2 to G3 but never the inverse.
This is because the last Genesis is the better version than previous one (materials, UV, pose/expression improvement) and so you must use the newer version.

If you absolutly need it, I can make it but not in a quick time.

That is not entirely accurate.

They provided backward compatibility clones, just they didn't do the pants and arms very well. And no, newer is not necessarily better, just different.

I have already made backward compatibility clones as indicated in my signature ;-)
