Most of my content has vanished from DAZ's Smart Content Tabs!

I rebooted my computer to install the latest Win 8 updates and when I reopened DAZ Studio to work on some renders tonight, I was greeted by what you see in the screenshot attached.
How do I correct this problem? I tried opening a saved render, and it does not load any of the content that is flagged with an exclamation point. Right now, I can't do anything of merit with the program because most of my content can't be accessed.
Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Either the CMS program has stopped running, it is needed for Smart content to work, or your CMS database file has a error now. To check if the CMS is running you use the Task Manager in Windows and look for it in Services. If it is not running look in Start> All Programs> DAZ 3D> DAZ Content Management Services for the On and off Scripts. With DAZ Studio Closed turn the CMS back on and check in DAZ studio again.
I followed your advice and checked CMS via services. CMS is running.
Where do I find the database file and how do I repair/replace it?
Thank you.
This post Covers it All. The process is the same for categories as it is for the normal Database...

Ok, I followed steps 1 - 5 of the procedure fixmypcmike listed on the thread. How exactly do I do Step 6? Because I am seeing exactly the same problem as before.
Also, one thing I noticed is that not only am I still getting all the broken links symbols in my DAZ content but I cannot access any files located under Content Library/Poser Formats/My DAZ 3D Library.
Thank you.
In DS, can you go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DAZ Studio Formats" and "Poser Formats", and post a screenshot?
Here's the screenshot. I hope it helps!
Thank you.
edit: screenshot removed.
Your Top DAZ Studio Format folder is wrong. The Path should end at My Library, not deeper in the folder as you have..
You also can not have a Content folder in that folder if you do, not saying you do, the Folders inside that should be moved up to the My Library folder and the Content folder deleted. A Default path set up looks like this...
I have fixed both the paths so that they end at My Library. I don't know how or why the other paths were added, but I examined my folders and there was no content folder in the deeper folder, which was good.
What should my next step be? I have closed and reopened DAZ and I am still seeing the broken links.
Thank you.
Have you tried the simple fix as of yet? I might be all that is needed. Re-Import your Metadata. Then close and open DAZ Studio again. That is done in the Content DB Maintenance Menu. It can be opened from the Smart Content Tab mini menu, or the Content Library Tab mini menu (small arrow with 4 lines in upper right corner). Be aware that Re-Importing can take a long time depending on the amount of content you have installed and you will need to let it run fully.. Here is what the menu looks like and the option to use...
EDIT: only the One upper path was wrong, I hope it was all you changed.
Thank you for your help. At long last I am now able to access all my content once more, both DAZ and Poser. I appreciate the help you guys have given me over the past couple days and am grateful.
Good to hear your up and running. Happy to have helped.
