Fitting boots to Genesis without horrible mesh distortions

Hi there folks,
I just thought I'd post my technique for getting around horrible autofits when trying to fit boots with Genesis.

For any boot that does not go above knee height I found this seems to work for me.
High heels are a bit trickier as another stage is involved (see below) where you match the rigging but for a quick conversion of a flat sole boots here goes...

1)First of all load Genesis

2)Next load in your boots but do not allow Daz studio to autofit them.

3)Now use the translation/scaling/rotational tools for the various body part to align the boots with Genesis.
ONLY ALTER THE BOOTS AND NOT GENESIS.
If they were designed for smaller figures such as David 3/SP3 you can even translate the entire body up and down. All you have to do is make the boots fit as best as possible. A little toe poke through and even possibly ankle poke through you might get away with although magnets can even be added to cure that if you do not want to hide the underlying body parts

4)Once you have a good fit, hide/delete Genesis.

5)Now export the boots as an obj file.

6)Delete the boots "figure" from the scene.

7)Reimport the boots obj file.

8)From the edit menu/object choose convert prop to figure and choose triax rigging.

9)Unhide Genesis/Add Genesis to the scene.

10)Next use the transfer utility.
Source = Genesis
Target = Your new boots "figure".

11) Once the process is complete you should be able to conform the boots to Genesis

*****************
For high heels the above process still works although on most occasions the entire foot will stick out. To sure that for need to use the Transfer Rigging utility.
This is covered in the following tutorial from step 4 onwards.
