Michael 2 wardrobe with Michael 6/G2M figures.

Thinking about getting an historical (Viking) pack and a couple of expansion (Norse and Saxon) sets that were built for Michael 1&2, but they are quite expensive, so before I commit myself, I would like to ask how well will these work with the latest characters? Or is there a lot of fooling about involved in getting them to fit?
Thank you in advance for any help offered.

it seems that you are saying that I have to run these packages through another utility to convert them to a format that can be converted in daz to a format I can use....?

it may well have to be plan 'b', whatever that is ;-)

anyway thanks you very much for the reply.

Autofit includes the clones for 4th generation figures, and there are add-ons for the 3rd generation figures, but 2nd generation goes way back (over 10 years) and no clones are available for sale.

OK here's a link to the product I'm referring to...

    http://www.daz3d.com/viking-pack-for-michael

It seems the Mac installer is also out-of-date.

Will any of this work with modern equipment and software?

looks like a nice set as are the expansions but a tad dear for me for something I would have to work so much on converting.
I have a XD3 license for V4 so could that way but but M4 would go better but still too pricey for not out the box

Yeah my feelings pretty much. Thought they were fairly dear from the outset, but if there has to be a lot of work done on them then it becomes even less attractive.

    Thanks for the feedback.

well I ran two M2 outfits through XD3 converting to V4
XD4 and M4 would prob be better
then autofitted them as bodysuits for V4
the feet failed abysmally but the rest worked pretty well

I wanted Viking clothes so I bought it in spite of the steep pricetag
after converting to V4 using crossdresser I fit it, hid Genesis feet and toes and reposed them
only tunic and pants are figures the rest are smartprops I had to scale up and re-position slightly but result not bad
A bit expensive though for effort involvled
I might however use it with M2!

To use clothes that don't have autofit clones, I would generally scale the clothing to the size of Genesis/Genesis2 then export as an obj. Then use a modeling tool to fit it to the Genesis shape more then reimport and rig using the transfer tool.

In order to use the boots and shoes, i pose the original figure in the foot position of genesis, export that then use a modelling tool to finish the fit. This usually works a lot better than auto fitting, and usually preserves a lot more detail in the shoes or works when the shoes are part of the pants. I've also taken clothing from more obscure figures, like some japanese anime figures and borrow their clothing too.

    Thanks for the suggestion MM3
I have indeed exported as obj resized and positioned to use clothes with transfer tool before
    but
the idea of posing on the original figure a great one esp since exporting with him hidden removes the mesh if that checked
and adding the belts etc too solves the parenting issue
here is M2 and Genesis with my XD3 conversion
I do not regret buying the outfit, it has great texture options too
I might even buy saxon and other addons
