In the product images the socks are shown as long and short, but there is only the option for long.
How can I get the short socks?

It doesn't have an option for short socks.
If you want short socks, you will either need to make your own textures for it or use a different product that has an option for short socks.
If you have any autofit clones for G8F that allows the use of G2F clothing with G8F, then this is your best bet for multi-purpose socks, pantyhose and tights - https://www.daz3d.com/super-dress-and-leggings-for-genesis-2-female-s - Dogz also have other school girl outfits in his store.
Only thing is it predates Iray so you have to do a little leg work. I recommend converting it to subD and adding a smoothing modifier if you use it on G8F

I'm disappointed that two of the promo pictures show short socks but they are not available in the main package. It would have been easy to provide them as an option, or to point out that they are from another set. I've no doubt I can find another pair of socks, but that isn't the point. The main promo picture shows them as short socks. It's annoying.
The short socks from "dForce Bunny Outfit for Sakura 8" have options that match the size & color of the ones shown in the pics for Crocodile Liu's JK Suit.

Yes, there are short socks available elsewhere. I'm sure I have some somewhere. The point is, I paid for a product that shows something on the box and it's not in the box.
There's a promo pic with the various options displayed, which shows the 5 material options for the socks listed in "what's included" section. None of those options are short socks.
The main promo pic shows short socks. I'm aware of what is on the options page, but if the main promo picture shows short socks, that's misleading. Just throw in the short socks if they are on the main promo.
