[Released] EJ UIs and Styles For Everybody [Commercial]

Hi guys, we wanted to introduce you to our new product: EJ UIs and styles for everybody.

Many of you may wonder what it is, and why we did it.

Since we started using DAZ Studio, we always customized the interface, so it was easier for us to make the products and use the program. Our customization has evolved very much as time went by, and that allowed us to work faster and easier.

We wanted to share this with you.

The product contains this:

 - Layouts for Daz Studio, that organize the interface so it is easier for the beginner, and more efficient for the expert. They come in 4 levels of expertise: basic, intermediate, experienced, and expert.

- Styles: Five color styles to make it more comfortable for doing art and creating

- Lesson Strips: You can use them to remember the functions of the interface. They are a kind of integrated help.

- A tutorial in pdf: with 36 pages, introduces you to all the interfaces, from Basic to Advanced. At the same time, it contains small tutorials on subjects like animation, dForce, and d-formers.

You can read in-depth information and features and see promos with more information at the product page:

If you have any doubts about this product, or need any help, we will be happy to answer you here :)

It will work in two monitors too. It's customizations of the interface of Daz Studio, and tutorials. So it will work in Daz Studio no matter how many monitors you have.

Bought this in a split second - and already I'm enjoying it immensely. I'm also very pleased with EJ Easy Pro Render Suite - keep up the good work.

Thank you so much Eggs Actly. It's so good to hear that! :)

While we did this product we also thought that this one can mix very well with EJ Easy Pro Render Suite. We're so glad you thought the same :)

this went in my cart right away as well, at first glance, fault of my own not reading the full description thought they were morphs for various generation of the genesis figures ???? lol and after clicking and looking at the product page realized what it was and how awesome it looks, my studio tends to "forget" my workspace set up and then i have to redo everything to how it was so this should help with that :) will just need to get used to the setups included :). any chance of a product to manage and customize the scripts menu easier too? :)

We're very happy of your confusion lol! :D Thank you so much for buying, and happy to know you liked it very much :)

Yes it will be useful for you if you have that problem of losing the changes. Sometimes it happens and it's very annoying. You will find the interface is easier and has more useful things at hand. If that happens, you can reaply the interface and that's all. It has several levels.

To get used to it, you should have a look at the tutorial included or run the lessons from the basic to the expert interface. That way, you locate everything quickly. An expert user can do this and after that keep using the expert interface.

About the scripts menu sorter, we will have a look if a product like that can be done.

The bookmarks from my previous layout was not transferred to the new layout - any way to fix this?

Have you saved your layouts before loading these layouts as it says in the tutorial? In the page 6 on "How to Load the interfaces" and at the end of the tutorial.

  • Does this work with 4.12 and are there any settings specifically related to lighting and Iray? What about the Pro beta version?

These are interfaces: layout, lesson strips, and tutorial. They are not lighting sorry.

  • Ok, just trying to make sure what was in it. I have dabbled with Daz for years after giving up on really learning Poser which I started with. I am having issues with lighting all of the sudden so I am looking for stuff to help. That being said, I think your UIs look better than the default so I will buy this anyway. thanks for hte quick response.

    Thank you! :)
We also did this tool: https://www.daz3d.com/ej-easy-pro-render-suite

Iray renders best when you use a HDR image. There are some free hdr in websites like HDR Haven,  and there are also some for sale here at DAZ (by the PA dimensiontheory).

EJ Easy Pro Render Suitehas a HDR tab, that puts together many lighting controls, so you may like it to adjust the hdr lighting in a very easy way. It is a product that is very useful for beginners but also for pros to make their lives easier.

OK, I installed it with smart content and with DIM, but when I check the workspace list here, it isn't showing up as an option.

One thing that you may check is to close Daz Studio and re open it. They may appear there. Please before applying the new layout, save yours to prevent any problem.

We have downloaded, checked the packages and installed through DIMM and they are right. But in some computers maybe the configuration is not standard and something may happen.

    Or who knows! :)

So even if you did the correct steps, please read the following to be sure, and maybe repeat the steps. It may work the second time.

HOW TO SAVE  A LAYOUT BEFORE APPLYING THE ONES IN THE PRODUCT
It is recommended to prevent any loss of your layout or styles.
For saving use the menu "Window/Workspace/" and select "Save Layout As...", and remember to put a name that is not the same as another layout.
To save the styles, use "Window/Styles/" and select "Save Style As..."

    INSTALL BY DIMM:
DIMM should be installed if you have Daz Studio. If it is not installed, it can be downloaded here: https://www.daz3d.com/install-manager-info
    Firs close Daz Studio.
Then open DIMM. It will ask your login, enter, and you find the window shown in the first image attached. Enter in the search box (1) "EJ UI". Check the three items in (2). Click the three buttons (3).
Then change to the Install tab (image 2), and you should see that they are installed.
Now open DAZ Studio. Select the menu:  "Window / Workspace / Select Layout" and there you can select the new layouts.

    INSTALLING BY HAND
It is supposed to be better that you use DIMM. But in some circumstances (for example, you had a beta of DAZ Studio or another installation of DAZ Studio already installed somewhere, and DIMM is being confused), it may fail with any product. If that happens, you can do this.
First close Daz Studio if it's open. Then do the following:

1-Download and unzip the files of the product.
2- The files inside "IM00068979-01_EJUIsandStylesForEverybodyStudioContent / Content" are the tutorial and the icons to load it inside Daz Studio. You can grab those folders and put them in your "My Library" folder.
3- The files inside "IM00068979-02_EJUIsandStylesForEverybodyLessonStripsWin / DAZ Studio_4.5" are the lesson strips (integrated help). You have to copy this folder into the Daz Studio program folder, usually located at:
    "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4"
If you did a not standard install of Daz Studio, you have to know where did you install it.
You will see that folder also contains a folder called "resources". Take the resources folder of the product and put it at "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4" so they join.
4- The files inside "IM00068979-04_EJUIsandStylesForEverybodylayoutsandStylesWin / AppData / DAZ 3D / Studio4" are the layouts and styles. There are two folders "user layouts" and "user styles". Take these two folders and copy them to your user directory for Daz Studio. It is usually located at:
    "C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4"
where YOURNAME is the name of your user. For example, if your name is Wilfred, your directory is: "C:\Users\Wilfred\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4"

All this can be different if you have a Mac. Also, if you have Windows, you have to use your admin account to copy files, or when asked you say "yes" to Windows.  It is recommeded that you use DIMM, but if you are very careful you can also do it by this way. Just don't copy them in other places or smashing other files.

Hope this helps anyone who had problems :)

If you need any more help or clarify some step, just ask :)

Hi! I found out what I was doing wrong --DIM downloaded it but didn't install it. So I got it installed and started using it, and I like it a lot!

It says something about making the saving of morphs easier. I imagine I could transfer the morph from one G8 Male character to another. Does it make going from G8 Male to G8 female (or the reverse) possible?

Also, how about a morph transfer from one generation of figures to another, such as Genesis to G8?

Sorry this product is not about morphs. Why do you say that?

This product is not about morphs. Why do you say that? Please tell.

Oh, well the reason I mentioned morphs is that in the fourth image shown on the product page it indicates help in making and saving morphs. I realize that the product includes other functions. I'll try to attach a screen shot.

Also, on that same image, it has other indicators that the product helps with morphs.

The product consists in layouts and styles for DAZ Studio, help as lesson strips, and a tutorial. It says that in the promos because you have in the expert interface, buttons in the layout to quickly deal with morphs.

It's not a tool to make morphs, it's layouts and styles for DAZ Studio so it is easier and faster to use.

Thanks to this thread, I got a good look at EJ Easy Pro Render Suite. I didn't know it did all that! And it was on sale; so, now it's mine! But I finally had to upgrade Studio so I could get the most out of it, and I haven't had a chance to learn its ways. I did manage to convert EJFM G8M Lip Definition (Upper and Lower) to G3M though. Thanks for continuing to come up with great ideas.

This is fantastic; I'm currently bumbling around in the 'experienced' configuration, trying to get familiar with where things are. It took about 5 minutes to copy the required files from the release version of Studio over to the public beta - I'm wondering if tagging the lesson strips and the layouts and styles as 'plugins' in DIM would automate the process. But that's a question for Daz - off to explore!
