i just happened to look and realized i have an old version of studio pro 4.6..0.18
and the newest here on the forum listed is 4.6.2.120

the old version i have works just fine for me and all my plugins /shaders ect

the question is what plugins have need to be updated since my version to the new one?
are there any plugins that were never updated?

as im trying to figure out why i didnt upgrade in the past.
im thinking something i use plugin wise was never upgraded.

thanks
kisses

I'm not sure which plugins have been updated. To be safe you could simply reinstall all of them, then you would be guaranteed to have the latest. When the new versions are released, check the first page of the release thread, sometimes it says something to the effect that the older plugins work, but there might have been general bug fixes so you might want to get them.

Only some of the older versions are available, but not all. I would suggest that you save each version and it's plugins you download and install somewhere so you can it back later if needed. If you look in "My Account" under the "Product Library" tab and search for DAZ Studio, you'll get a list of various versions and plugins. It looks like can still get 3.1.2.32, 4.5.1.56, and 4.6. The 4.6. version changes as newer updates are made available, so I can't get the 2nd most recent release anymore, for example, now that the most recent came out.

All the Default Plugins will list in DIM or your My Products for the New Version. Including the Genesis I and II Starter packages. The update should read all your current settings so all plugins should stay registered. Some like LAMH and maybe Garibaldi might need a hand update to the new version as they are supported off site.
You would need to contact Support with a ticket I believe to ask if they can offer you a copy of the current version you are running and all its default plugins. I have no info on off site plugins so that would be up to you to handle on your own.
