Got me some goodies in my cart, but when i click 'checkout', i get a warning from Google Chrome saying : SSL Error, this is probably not the site you are looking for. ... You should not proceed.

Never had this happen before, and not to keen on inputting payment info and passwords now.
Something wrong on my side, or on Daz's side, or Chrome just being overprotective ? No idea what to do now, is there any way i can check wether it's safe or not to proceed, and if not, what to do ?

IE also gives a security warning. In both browsers i still have the choice to proceed anyway, problem is i don't feel safe inputting paypal passwords or cc info after getting security warnings that tell me hackers might be trying to intercept that info...

DAZ 3D is perfectly safe, and wasn't affected by the recent heartbleed scare.

However there were some sites that did suggest that if you had used a password on a site that was affected then you should not only change it on that site, but on any other site where you used the same password.

    Edit

Also I suggest that maybe you should run a Malware Scan, using something like MalWareBytes, to see if you have inadvertantly picked up something from another site.

    Thanks chocole.
I guess browser securitychecks on ssl-thingies are probably overreacting after the whole heartbleed-incident. Gonna run that malware-scan while doing groceries, that's never a bad idea (the scan, that is. Although groceries in general aren't that evil either )

LOL. I had one Browser update that affected my monthly Grocery shop, as it stopped the store in questions site working properly. The store advised to roll back a version until the problem was fixed with the browser. I shop online because the store I prefer doesn't have a local store near here, and 10 miles each way to do a grocery shop seems no fun to me, so I let them do it for me.

My store is at walking distance, i always enjoy to stroll over there on foot and buy just what i need for no more than the next few days and then i just go back. No driving, no parking, no hauling and stashing of bulk-amounts of food and other stuff. Doing groceries this way has become one of those relaxing and very enjoyable ' personal me'-time moments.

Oh, and the ssl-error has also magically dissappeared while doing groceries. Time to check-out and play with the new goodies !! :cheese:

    Glad it sorted itself out

and as for stores. we have a convenience store in the village and a greengrocer etc, so we buy day to day stuff there like fresh veg, fruit, new laid eggs, milk and bread, but bulk buy on other stuff once a month. Works out quite well for us that way. There is a town a couple miles down the way, but we prefer the quality of the store we shop online from.

Could also have something to do with DAZ getting a new SSL certificate last week.

It also looks like they changed SSL providers.

Daz3D was always safe. We use a version of OpenSSL that wasn't affected by the heartbleed bug. The CDN we use, Cloudflare was fixed a week before the vulnerability was made public.

There are some sites that are checking if it is vulnerable or not and still say that daz3d.com isn't safe because they are just checking to see if we are running OpenSSL, not any other checks such as version or attempting to trigger the bug, and are essentially reporting numerous false positives that would show that 65% of the entire internet isn't safe. So, needless to say, the websites that check based off that are safe to ignore. We did update our SSL cert just as a precaution and to give peace of mind to our customers, even though, at no time, was Daz3D vulnerable to the bug.
