Script to copy materials

Is there a script out there or something that could help me create one that copies the materials of one figure to the materials of another? The reason I ask is that I have a figure where I changed the UV mapping to be compatible with Genesis 8 Male. But I decided to keep the material names the same in the newly remapped figure. I guess I could change it the Genesis 8 male's naming system, but I would rather copy the materials in one swoop rather than do each channel. Just researching some options here.

Couldn't you just save what you have as a material preset and then load that to the new figure?

Hello Richard I was looking info on how use this script wen I notice I was log out and the adress was a bit diferent (https://forum.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/403836/script-to-copy-materials) Is this normal the way daz handle the log to the forums, I just wan to be sure, Sorry for taking your time with this.

Apart from the #latest at the end, which would take you to the first unread post if you were logged in, that link looks normal to me.
