I have a model which I'm looking to get manufactured. Unfortunately, the firm I'm dealing with is using stp file formats (or x_t, or igs). Does anyone know of a way to do this?

.stp and .igs are the common formats in engeneering and manufacturing. These are interchangeble files for every CAD Software.

As far as I remember Hexagon can at least open .stp-files. So it should normally be possible to save .stp-files.

If you don´t own Hexagon, I guess freeware like Wings3D can do the same thing ...

... or find someone who has access to professional CAD-Software, like Inventor, Solidworks, ProEngineer and so on.

EDIT: Well, seems like I was wrong. Hexagon can´t open or export .stp-files. So CAD-Software is the only suggestion I have.
