I've just started rebuilding my render farm.

So went to download rendernode for my Carrara Pro 8.1 and I have no option to download rendernode and even to download 32-bit versions are missing, actually my Bryce 7 and Bryce 7 Pro is all messed up too.

So I created a support ticket. This morning I went to check the status of my support ticket and the ticket was gone.

Strange stuff., I hope they can resolve this for me. :)

I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like on my end.

    Hi Analog-X64,

Have you run DAZ Installer recently?

I was given the option to download a new version of render node just a day or two ago.

I didn't know about the Daz installer. So I installed it and it only shows me content that I've purchased.

So if I type Carrara. I get Carrara 8 Native content and a few other items.

Zendesk did go down briefly yesterday, so possibly you need to repeat the Support ticket

How are they messed up ?

You will possibly find them in 2 places, some under Bryce 7 and some under bryce 7 pro.

For DIM, click on the little gear icon in the upper right: "Settings". Set up DIM to include products and software that you want. While in there, give it the paths to all of the Carrara versions you want it to install Carrara-specific content to. You can add more than one version of Carrara to the applications list. DIM now finds all of my Carrara purchased stuff, I believe. In the earlier days of DIM, Carrara stuff was still manual download only, but that has changed quite a bit over the past months.

My Bryce 7 Options are for Bryce & Bryce content
My Bryce 7 Pro options are for Bryce Lightning and content
My Bryce 7 Pro Upgrade options are for Bryce Lightning and Content

Is that the normal way it should be?

I did do that. but part of the problem might be, Carrara & Bryce were installed from the individual installers and not Daz installer, so when I point to those folders. Daz installer complains the folder are not empty.

Also after a few minutes DAZ Installer crashes.

That is not common performance. Never has been for me. I've never got a "Not empty folder" error, and I think DIM may have crashed on me once or twice when other junk was going on with my antivirus. Your AV may be playing a big part in that.

Okay, I've just looked on my account and, while Carrara 8.5 Pro shows download/Install options for 64bit, 32 bit and for each of the Render Nodes, I'm not getting any Render Nodes for 7 Pro or 8 Pro. I have backups on a drive of all of those installers, luckily for me. Wow... I hope you're support ticket fixes this.

So there is a known bug report about carrara render node and they will get back to me.

In the meantime, I went to my backups and sure enough I did save copies of the my Carrara and Bryce purchases on DVD.

This just reinforces my belief in making backups :)

I spent forever DLing the installers for C7.2 Pro. I sure as hell wasn't going to place my trust in an external server or company. I archived all my Carrara installers. I just came across my Carrara 5 disks just the other day as well.
