Anyone know if there is going to be a debut for The Kids 6 this year (2014)?

Someone might know but they are under a nondisclosure agreement or none is in plan. I know nothing about kids 6, but I know with the genx2 and g2 plug-ins one can import k4 morphs to the genesis 2 line.

If DAZ would just do the iconic shapes for the Young Teens and the Preschoolers along with the shape for K4, it would go a long way. Right now the only way to get the K4 shape is via GenX and the autofit clone and while it isn't bad, some morphs just aren't the same.

I would love the iconic shapes for gen1/2 family including the original millennium kids.

Been pining for a new kids figure ever since Kids 4, but there doesn't seem to be as heavy a market for kids stuff as there is for the grown ups. I guess our 'K5' was the Basic Child on Genesis, but sadly there was nothing really designed to work well with it. Some outfits included child fits, but many did not which means distortions appear when using clothing on young figures.

Fast-forward to Genesis 2 and we currently have the Growing Up morphs kindly provided by Zev0. They're truly astounding, and easily some of the nicest kids I've had the pleasure to work with. The only downside is that, much like Genesis, there's still nothing designed to work for the kids meaning distortions once again appear on various clothing items. Perhaps more glaringly though, there aren't many kids friendly clothes for the Genesis or Genesis 2 figures in the first instance. Some are fairly all-purpose, but dresses in particular are scarce and there's no autofit in existence which works well for dresses.

I've been working on some projects to hopefully bring a bit more attention to the kids, in the form of custom Genesis 2 characters intended to work with Growing Up and a few outfits. I'm still learning a lot of this on the fly though, so it could be a while before it sees the light of day considering the lack of good documentation on how to do many of the more advanced features.

Since G2F was announced I've kept my fingers crossed for a dedicated K6 release given the same loving attention to detail as any major figure release. Whether as a morph for the existing figures or as a standalone, it would be an instant sale for me. Sadly, until that demand is there I doubt we'll see much movement in that area.

I would like to stress that I absolutely do not speak for anyone but myself. This is totally my opinion as a customer and former Kids 4 merchant, which is:

I wouldn't hold my breath. Stuff I did for K4 did abysmally, so I, at least, would never make kids-only clothing. And given how well the Growing Up morphs work, I don't see "official" kid morphs as an urgent need.

I don't have kids, but other PA's and DAZ admins do; so it's not that people around here don't like kids. It's the concern about being able to make bank on stuff that's made for them.

I understand that the market for kid's items is smaller than the one for males but I offering the Young Teens and Preschoolers iconic shapes as well as the shape for the K4's might boost sales of older kids content.
