Wishlist needs a "Delete All" or "Clear Wishlist" option

I'm pretty sure I've asked for this in the past, but feel it should be mentioned again. This is the first time in weeks that I've been able to access my wishlist, and deleting items one at a time or going down the list changing item totals and then updating takes forever when you've got 3500+ items on it. Runtime DNA and Renderosity both have clear functions, and we're far enough removed from the store change-over that something like this should be fairly high up on the list of features to implement by now.

Also having items remove themselves from the wishlist after purchase would be a good thing, too. Again, this is a feature that both Runtime DNA and Renderosity implement, and I'd say that easily a quarter to a third of the items I'm pruning now off my DAZ wishlist are items I've already purchased.

I'd also love the ability to sort the list by various categories (Sale, Price, Title, Vendor, etc.), but I'd settle for the "Clear All" function.

I was just saying this to myself earlier today!

My wishlist contains 61 items, and most of them are already-purchased or no longer relevant to me.

You don't use the add to cart button within the wishlist? If you do it takes it out of the wishlist. When I go to the store I first look at my wishlist and if anything is on a good sale then I add it to cart, then I go to the store for the new releases.

I do the same Frank. I just go to the store to see the full-sized promo to make sure it's what I want at the time.

I used to rely on my wishlist a lot, but not since the store changeover -- in fact, most times I can't even access it. It was really a surprise to be able to get into my wishlist this morning, and even tho' I was able to trim it back some, I haven't been able to access it all afternoon -- it keeps throwing up CloudFlare error pages and kicking me back to the log-in page. Clearing out the cookies and refreshing the page makes no difference, either in IE or FireFox. So when I add something to the shopping cart, it's always from the item's store page, not from the wishlist.

Clear your cache and DAZ cookies. Are you using Firefox?

I'm like Kevin, my shopping is not always straight-line through my wishlist. Sometimes, I'll see a sale and buy right from the sale page. Why must I always be forced to go through the wishlist?

In my experience, manually clearing cache and cookies is NEVER a good first-solution, and it's not even an effective "last ditch effort" for anything. I haven't done this in years because it never fixes anything and always causes further inconvenience.

How difficult can it be to get the DAZ web programmers to add a button on the Wish List page? They could then selectively clear whatever portions of cache might be related to the wish list, and not force the poor user to do wider damage to his/her browsing experience. Or better yet, give me a checkbox "remove these items from my wishlist" at checkout time.

Simple for the customer. That's how it should be.

I would also like a clear shopping cart option in case I forget to check out before the flash sale ended.

I'm in favor of this as well. Or at least provide us with a checkbox column where you can remove multiple items at one time. This one at a time thing is killing me!

I'd be happy with a checklist that allows you to add multiple items to your cart at the same time! I hate having to re-load the wishlist every single time I want to add something from it to my cart!!

    Odd.

I find things vanish from my wishlist no matter what method I've used to actually go buy them. Or maybe I have been adding them from the list and not knowing it... I thought I'd been adding them from either there or the product page.

I like to keep that list thin - only things of major current interest to me. I prefer using search when I start a project - to see what is out there, and whether or not the 'market' has moved in better directions from where my existing runtime lies.

I can't imagine having 3500+ items in the list - it would get impossible to use if it got beyond one to two screens. :)

Have you filed a support ticket requesting this feature? I can guarantee that if all you do is post it in the forums the only way a feature will get implemented is we were already working on it. (In other words it is pure coincidence.)

Note that requesting a feature does not mean it will be implemented, but the only way it will get implemented, unless it is implemented by coincidence, is if you submit a feature request through the ticket system.

Actually, after the last few purchases I've made, I've noticed that items ARE being deleted from the wish-list automatically. Sweet.

Never mind deleting stuff, how do I add to my wishlist in the first place? There are no buttons on my wishlist page at all.

Click where it says "Wishlist" with a heart on the product page, above the main promo image.

It would be nice to be able to organize the wishlist by price or other criteria!

Can I add a notification feature for stuff that is about to be yanked from the store, like "Sexy Sporty Outfit For Genesis 2 Female". I was wondering where that had gone, and figured I had purchased it and it was lost in the CL labyrinth, lol.

A delete all is a bad idea if there is no way to back it up. Think I-music thing, and stuff you made yourself it culled into it's collection. A friend made that mistake trying to clear out that music player thing, and goodby to all his music. I'm like, didn't you upload that to my HPSS, so I could listen to your music, lol.

I can export a list of stuff purchased from DIM, I've yet to see that option for the Daz3d wishlist.

"O" nifty, you can share the wishlist via e-mail... or can you share it to yourself?

I was hoping for a text like list, hmmm. Hilight the E-mail, and copy it into notepad I guess. It will take some editing of the funny text from the copy, and the links to the store page, so it can be ree-added is going to be a bit.

As for the delete all, best I can advise, is to start at the top of the page, and just keep clicking the gray round "X" for the top one. Assuming the page doesn't jump around to much each refresh.
