Hi everybody,
Looking for a wearable backpack / satchel. Something that is from medieval times or earlier. There are some modern in the shop, but nothing that is very old. I searched pretty long already, and I'm out of idea's :)
Other travel gear is a bonus.

I am interested in this, as well.
EDIT :
The best least worst option I finally went for:

Also has a stick I could use. Still I'd love to see an ancient adventurers (pre medieval) gear pack.
You were, uh, desperate?
Yes :/ it really was the closest that could pass as a bag from ancient times (I got rid of the buckle)
The best one I have seen is: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/wasteland-weapons-survivors-backpack/119150/
The backpack from Radioactive Soldier Outfit for Genesis 8 Male(s) is another possible choice (if you use it without the suit & get rid of the buckles in front).

Here is a pic from Serene Night of the backpack without the suit.

I really like the props from this product: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-plague-doctor-for-genesis-8-male
I don't think backpacks were invented in the middle ages. I think they just used sacks slung over the shoulder, or maybe shoulder pouches like your least worst option. I think the orientals used boxes like backpacks, like the plague doctor, that long ago.

If it's supposed to be medieval, there would be the sack of Krampus G3.... https://www.daz3d.com/krampus-demon-for-genesis-3-male ...a normal sack slung over the shoulder seems the most realistic.
There is a kind of handbag with this here as well: https://www.daz3d.com/desert-robes-for-genesis-8-male-s
If you want soemthing more close to a backpack, I think the "oldest one" on this platform must be this: https://www.daz3d.com/shenandoah-for-genesis but that's way out of the middle ages!
Hey everyone, thanks for all the excellent suggestions. I did some extra research and indeed a "messenger bag" type of bag was probably most used, like you mention @Gusf1
True backpacks as we know them today were indeed something invented in the 19th century, allthough Roman soldiers did have a contraption that was backpack-like. My character is a commoner from 300BC, so I think the desert robes one is the most spot on, in terms of being mostly historically accurate.
I actually love the plague doctor, what an incredible piece of art that product is!
Two videos on what primitive style "backpacks" could look like.

I hate to resurrect threads, but I think it is gauche to start a new thread when there are already several that are basically the same thing.
A Fantasy/Medieval inspired backpack would be awesome.... add me to the list. I have doomed, and am using the backpack from that, but would like something you could open. Also, as simple as it sounds, a bedroll... any ideas?
My wandering Bard could use some equipment to help him wander!
