Exposing Shader Mixing properties

How do you expose Shader Mixing properties. I have multiple Tiler bricks I want to expose under the main surface tab, while I can see them in the sub-folder they come up as multiple and you can't adjust them on the top level. Also is there a way to give them better names and rearrange to order. There's not much to go on when you look at the help.
Thanks in advance.

To rename them, click on the icon to the right of the parameter and select "Parameter Settings" from the context menu to display the Parameter Settings window. Change the Label field to the title you want. You can also change the Path field to change the name of the group of parameters.

I don't know if this is the right way to do it, however, you can expose a parameter by using a value brick.
