What are your system specs, and what OS are you using.
im using a 32 bit intel processor and have a 4gb ram
im a noob at cpu lango whats oc mean lol
OS is Operating system So Win7 Windows Vista. WindowsXP
oh window 7
If you are using a 32 bit Windows 7 Daz Studio will unfortunately run out of memory when rendering scenes containing two or more Genesis figures. Is your computer an old Pentium 3 or 4 computer? If it is, Daz Studio may not be able to use all 4 GB of Memory. I might be wrong though. Sorry I couldn't help more but your hardware is limiting how much memory Daz Studio can use. You could buy a 64 bit Intel Dual Core computer or a new Celeron.
edit: Daz Studio can only use about 1 to 1.2 GB of memory on a 32 bit processor/operating system even though you have 4 GB installed. the 1.2 GB limitation is made by Microsoft and the hardware, it is not your fault.
that's the best answer ive gotten in mnths lol ill go and upgrade now because this is getting so annoying
In the time waiting you could tweak your system so that DAZ could use more memory.
1°/ Use the 3GB Switch in order to be able to use 3GB memory for programs. see http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-enable-a-3GB-switch-on-Windows-Vista-Windows-7-or-Windows-XP-s.html
2°/ Disable all the Windows EyeCandy see http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-adjust-visual-settings-windows-7-best-performance.htm
I'd advise simply checking "adjust for best performance". That should free 200-300 MB Memory
3°/ Open task manager and see in the process tab if you have some unused programs that are launched at startup and consume memory
4°/ In your Render Settings, check that the Bucket Size is at 8
5°/ You could also render with 3delight Standalone by exporting a RIB File from DS. See this thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/17016/
I forgot about the /3GB switch. Thanks. Daz Studio can render slightly larger scenes without giving memory errors.
k the problem was I was trying to render a lot of things in one render using a 32-bit I just upgraded to a 64 bit and omg I havnt crashed since thanks for the hint. I didn't know I was limited using a 32-bit i can do anything now
