Set camera in Render options
Nothing is more frustrating for me than when I set an image series to render, go to bed, and even though I have the camera set to Camera 2 on the render room, actor's page, pose room and the extra viewport on the pose room.and on camera 2 on the pose, it renders 600 frames from the perspective camera.
There has always been a fear of which camera would actually render in the series. We should just be allowed to set it. I do see that on the lighting and camera room, that was the only one that's set for perspective. But I NEVER use that room -- ever. So why were the previous frames generated as expected?
For consistency and surety, we should be able to set the camera, not from the viewport on the render room, but on the general settings. Either that, or make the camera in the render room absolute over renders, period.

I agree completely. Either that or the ability to move the Perspective cam to where you want it. On a dolly would be another improvement.
There are a couple of script samples that may suggest a way to approach this
