Need Download Help

I just tried to install Daz 4.6 and finally the computer will let me do so. Guess that last video card driver update did the trick...lol
What I need to know now is what I need to download from my products library. The image below shows the circled items downloaded and I'm not clear what I need to download from the bottom of that list. I do know I need the Genesis and Genesis2 Essentials, but what about the rest. I do not have photoshop or zbrush, so I know I don't need those.

You will want to download one version of the installer of DS itself (DAZ Studio 4.6 32-bit/64-bit for either Windows or Mac), Default Lights and Shaders, Scene Builder, Subsurface Shader Base and, of course, each of the three bundles. I think you may also want to get Interactive Lessons and this new set (sorry, I don't know whether it is a limited time freebie or not, just grab it while you can): http://www.daz3d.com/utilities-resources/sci-fi-warrior-bundle as it expands your start-up options. Choose the version that's the most suitable for your system (if it's 32-bit, you can only use 32-bit version, but while on 64-bit, you can choose either, just remember 64-bit has wider support options, in other words you should be able to render bigger stuff). If you plan to use DS instead of Poser, there is no need to download stuff with PoserCF suffix - and DSON is not required either.
If I was to suggest other free extensions to start DS 4.6, I'd get:
http://www.daz3d.com/software/look-at-my-hair-free-player (you can render realistic hair presets from FurryThings with that one)
http://www.daz3d.com/environments-props/dystopia-city-blocks-001-010-poser and http://www.daz3d.com/environments-props/dystopia-city-blocks-011-020-poser (for city-building)
http://www.daz3d.com/environments-props/easter-accessories (since it is still free and will be probably pulled out of the shop very soon as Easter's over)
http://www.daz3d.com/environments-props/dystopian-console-station and http://www.daz3d.com/environments-props/dystopia-kruger-mk-15, maybe http://www.daz3d.com/breast-cancer-research-russian-egg as well (in case you want to expand that SF Warrior Bundle)

FBX is needed only if you want to use the content designed for DS in other software like Maya or 3DS Max. Content Creation Toolkit is obviously only needed if you want to create models (I don't know if it requires Hexagon or not, maybe just DS). Texture Atlas may be of use to save space, but certainly you can do without it. GoZ is a plugin between Zbrush and DS, while Photoshop Bridge lets you mess around with both DS and Photoshop at the very same time.
When I go to download the content creator toolkit, all I get is a pfd on how to install it, where is the item to download though.
The CCT is now in the core installer, and no longer has a separate installer.
I just discovered that...lol What about other other plugins, no window came up after I registered the program. I bought dynamics and layered image editor a couple years ago, for instance. Do I need to enter any other serials to open all the plugins that come with it?
LIE is also in the core installer by default now. The Dynamic clothing control is not, or rather I should say that there is a limited version included, but if you have the paid for version I believe you need to install that with the serial number for the full dynamic control to work
edit to add, I just checked and yes you do need to re-install your dynamic clothing control
Ok great will do that later. At the moment I am wondering what happened to my Hexagon. When I uninstall 4.5 I left the DAZ folder with hexagon in it so I would not have to reinstall it, but it seems to have disappeared...lol Any idea's on that one?
Scratch that it just appeared again...lol Must have decided to become a ghost temporarily...lol
No, as I have always had Hex in it's own folder. You should be able to re-download Hex if you "purchased" it through the store.
ah OK too late I see. :coolsmirk:
LOL chats would be nice, it's in real time. I just opened the necessary files and manually installed the essentials and whatnots. There is one folder I am not sure where it goes. It looks like this...DAZ Studio_4.5/resources/Scene Builder.json I have no idea where this goes.
The files goes in the resources folder in the DAZ Studio application folder. As do others (resources or scripts or shaders) which is why it's best to use DIM
Are you talking about the folder on C/program files or in documents? I ask cause I have a resource folder in both area's
C/Program Files
Thanks Cho and I installed the dynamic plugin, didn't ask for the serial though, yet all the functions seem to be in place. Just downloading some of the dynamic clothing now.
And thank you cecilia.robinson for your help and advice.
No problem, my pleasure. I cannot wait to see the renders :P.
Ok I got the main stuff installed, set up a temp runtime folder for things I only want temporarily, tried doing some scenes to see who it would work and everything is fine...until today.
For some reason, under the shaping tab, none of the morphs I have for G1 and G2 are showing up. I bought the evolutionary head and body morphs, but they are not working. In the download folder for G1 only a data folder was in the zip.
Anyone know what is happening and how I can fix it?
Also my Genesis won't load right cause it says it's missing some dsf files but when I followed the path they are there...what is going on?
Solved the finding dsf problem and the morph problem, they all show up now, however the new problem is that when I load a figure and apply textures, I am not seeing any applied textures. I tried looking through the various sections of the program to see if maybe I clicked something by accident, but not having any luck finding out what that is.
Just solved the texture problem...lol I did click something I shouldn't have. Everything works fine now.
