Genesis & Genesis2 Figures

I am very new to making 3d characters. I want to move up to Genesis or Genesis 2 but know nothing about them. I heard you can use everything on any character, they share all. Can some one explain this to me please. I want to move up but don't want to if I don't understand. Thanks in advance, Kitty

That is quite a claim. While I will say that we try to maximize compatibility for our figures I wouldn't go so far as to claim that you can use any product on Genesis or Genesis 2 Female and it will work. Depending on the product, and who it was originally designed for you may or may not get it to work with varying degrees of success.

Having said that, Genesis 2 is our latest and greatest figure and I highly recommend upgrading to this new figure. If you have any questions about what content works with what figures you should consult our Compatibility Matrix. The matrix should help you visualize what content will work with what figures.

Wow, I went to the Content Compatibility Chart and there was everything there. I just have one more question about toon characters such as Kimberly5, Jasmin5, and others. There sure isn't much out there for them so can they use Genesis clothing & hair? Thanks for giving me the link for the chart. So much information. In my search looking for information I never ran across that. Kitty

Yes, that's the best thing about Genesis, the clothes work on any shape, so your toons and trolls have plenty to wear.
