I have been trying for an long time now to stop grass object to appear through an onject or character how can you make the grass not go through any object or character feet

There is no collision detection as such inside DAZ Studio, and even if there were, you character would be standing on top of blades of grass, which would look equally strange.
You could try using the Polygon Group Editor, selecting the polygons that are poking through, create a surface from them, and make that surface 100% transparent so that it will play no part in the render.
You could also do that with a modelling package when your Scene is completed, but it may be a lot more work.
In this product http://www.daz3d.com/grassy-grounds-megapack There are a some items that are patchy grass, and you can fit the grass around the model's feet.
hi all
i add an Geometry Shell 1 and added the grass to that but it is still showing through the rabbit
Hi
so this item will not poke through any object or character
Thanks
Guy
as long as you position the patches to not be under the figure. It is just easier to do it with the patchy bits in this set.
this shows what I mean about patchy bits. Ignore the texture, I was using the grass to simulate patches of bluebells in the distance.
Hi I really like that sky and dome can you send it to me that is what i need also
hi
this is what i am trying to do in daz3d https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7VzlLtp-4#t=94
Use a Dform, adjust the field until it covers the area that should be under the foot, then select the Dform and adjust the Y-trans and Y-scale until it no longer pokes through.
Oops sorry, :red: should have said it was not a DS render. See my signature image
I just did it quick to show you how the grass patches are.
PolyGon Group Editor !!! This is the Tool for this, You can even Cut just the grass you need. It is much easier to do than it sounds.
