Converting textures to .duf format?

I feel as if I'm supposed to know this already, because every product I look at for adding old UVs to Genesis and G2 tells me that I need to convert the old maps to .duf.

Does this simply mean I need to save the textures with a ".duf" as a suffix?

Also... I know where to find the freebies I download, but can't find where the store-bought textures are. How do I get to them to "convert" them?

Is there anything else I need to know to get the job done right?

Load the .pz2/.ds/.dsa/.mc6 on V4 (or Genesis if you don't have V4)
File > Save As > Material Preset

Note that this is only required for G2, G1 doesn't require .duf
