Morphing Fantasy Dress Slit?

I'm wondering how to go about creating a decent slit in the MFD skirt. I know I could do it with transparency maps, but I suck at painting them. Barring that, is there a dress similar to the MFD, but with a slit in the skirt?

It's a nice outfit, but not what I'm looking for. I'm trying to re-create the slit in the ice dress, using the MFD if possible.

There is one option that you can use that will enable you to create a slit in one side of the MFD dress. That option is using the Geometry Editor (new Beta) found under Tools other wise known as the Polygon Editor Tool to create a new narrow material zone going down the entire length of the skirt that you can then put the opacity to zero. I have done this with other outfits and it works fine especially if you are using shaders.
