c1 spiky short hair no iray preview

Trying to use c1 spiky short hair. It doesn't seem show when in Iray preview. Can anyone help? Seems fine when doing a proper render.

    Certain hairs don't show in Iray preview, default resource saving mechanism. Somewhere there is a place to check/uncheck to show these hairs in Iray preview if truly so desired. One can render spot areas [or use the Aux Viewport] to check results before committing to the full render.

    There are three presets, under the Viewport Preview folder that show exactly what you should get in iray preview mode, depending on preset selected.

    The default option, c1 spiky viewport line 1, will not show in the viewport in preview mode.

    There's a pdf associated with this product, with a link to it in the folder, that explains this hair in detail.
