New DAZ 3D User unclear on Bear Clan requirements

What would be the cheapest purchase list for Bear Clan for a novice?

I just started with DAZ 3D, and I have a very tiny set of items.

Starting from Zero, when I put Bear Clan in my cart what else do I need to buy? Do I need to buy a bundle of Freak 5 or just a single item?

I am getting confused by what is contained in different sets, and the product Description of Bear Clan.

Weirdly, on the web site it has Freak 5 listed four times in a row.

I could have sworn it said something else earlier.

    That's a glitch that sometimes happens with the required products list. The correct items are:
    V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis
    Genesis Evolution: Body Morphs
    Genesis Creature Creator Bodies
    Freak 5

    If you don't have Freak 5 it will work, but the figures won't be as muscular. I think the V4 and M4 shapes are just used to get female and male shapes, so it would probably work fine with Basic Female and Basic Male instead (which come with Genesis). The Creature Creator bodies are probably required, not sure about the evolution body morphs.

    Thanks, that cleared up a lot.

    I don't need to buy the entire Freak 5 Bundle.

    So I really need to buy is:

    1. Genesis Evolution: Body Morphs
    2. Genesis Creature Creator Bodies
    3. Freak 5
    4. Bear Clan

    I can't get it all at once, so I will buy a piece at a time then.

    Do morphs conflict?

    I have Genesis 2 Female Body Morphs. If I get the Genesis Evolution: Body Morphs, do I need uninstall what I bought?

    They seem to do the same thing.

    Could I buy the Genesis 2 Male Body Morphs as an alternative?

    Bear Clan and the Evolution morphs are for Genesis 1, not Genesis 2.

    Well, that explains a lot.

    Thanks for pointing that out. This gets confusing.
