First, the term unimesh was first introduced for the V3/M3 generation of characters. But unimesh fit doesn't refer to them at all.

In the V4/M4 Generation, the unimesh refers to the fact that all the mainline characters are based on the same mesh. Even though each has a different shape, they all have the same vertices in the same relative position as well as the same UV map. This is what lets them share morphs & textures.

Unimesh fit refers to the fact that many garments come in two versions. The base which fits V4 or M4 and the unimesh fit ADDON which covers some of the other characters of the same gender.

Which characters varies from garment to garment. On the female side, most characters (A4, G4, S4) are usually covered. She Freak 4 is usually not. (Corageous is the major exception). On the male side all characters are usually covered.

Unimesh fit only guarantees that the base form of the character will fit, it does not guarantee that any particular morph will work.
