Can V4 chars become G2 chars?

Hi,
I have a lot of V4 and M4 characters and I recently got Genesis 2: I can get V4 for Genesis 2, but it does not say I can then apply V4 character morphs to the V4-for-G2 creation.
Can I do that or not?
Ditto for M4.
I believe the clothes for V4 and M4 can be used on V6 and M6 (correct me if I'm wrong, please!) but that's not characters.

And while I'm at it, can I use Genesis 1 character morphs and textures on Genesis 2 ?

To copy over characters from V4 or M4 to Genesis2, you need this : http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2

Now, it's possible to transfer morphs from Genesis and supported Poser figures to Genesis 2 Male and Female. In addition, morphs may be transferred from Genesis 2 to Genesis or between the Male and Female version of Genesis 2. The latter includes HD morphs and is done without re-calculation.

I would keep in mind that items generally will look good on the figures that they were originally made for. When you transfer figures from Generation 4 to Genesis, they will not look 100% the same as you're going from a higher poly to a lower poly figure so you will lose some detail and the UVs aren't 100% identical. If you have access to a tool to tweak converted morphs it will help make the figures look better. Your biggest issues with converting clothing will be high heels and dresses; also depending on how clothing is made, not everything will be useable. You won't see all the advantages of Genesis 2 until you're using items specifically for it, so eventually you'll want to invest directly in it.

Actually you need the Addon to transfer V4/M4 to Gen 2 as well, the base just does Gen 4/Genesis, no Gen2.

Also you can use V4/M4 clothing on Gen2 but you will need the following items (they don't by default) or you'll need to convert from V4/M4 to Genesis and then from Genesis to Gen 2. The V4/M4 for Gen2 products also let you use V4/M4 skins on Gen2, though you may need to convert the files to .duf if they're in another format.
