Can't use custom Shader Mixer bricks - 3Delight error

I'm trying to learn the Shader Mixer and Shader Builder. I want to learn to make custom bricks. I followed this tutorial and made a brick. But whenever I attach it to a material I get this error:

3Delight message #45 (Severity 2): S2050: cannot find shader 'brickyard/{fea98dd0-a528-4d47-950b-638691a4dd37}/shader_Surface', will use 'defaultsurface'

The cube primitive I tested it on just came out an unshaded white.

    Mac or Windows?

    Windows 7.

I've tried it in both DS 3 (64 Bit) and DS 4.5 (64 Bit) and I get the same error. I haven't tried DS 4.6.

My current project is reinstalling DS to see if that helps.

I reinstalled DAZ Studio and followed the tutorial more carefully this time. It worked fine.
Either something was broken in the previous installation or I messed up the exercise the exact same way twice.
I think it was user error.

Edit: I just went through some errors I might have made yesterday, but there were no warnings or blank surfaces. It doesn't matter any more, but now I think it was my installation.

I just got the same issue on OS X 10.9.3. Reinstalling DAZ Studio 4.6 (64-bit) fixed it.
