i can export a fully rigged figure from DAZ into blender via a .dae file and so long as i do not change that figure i can re-import it back.

however, if i rig a figure in Blender then import that figure into Daz it does not work properly

DS and Blender use a different rigging system, Blender rigs don't work in DS as far as I know.

I don't know what kind of rigging Blender uses, but DS uses Triax weight mapped rigging now by default, and it can still read the older legacy rigging (which was the same as Poser's rigging prior to Poser 9)

thank you and yes i know they use two different systems by default here is what i see in more detail

1: take the genesis model and export it as a .dae
2: import into blender and BOOM 80% perfect (needs a little work but mostly fine)
3: export that same model back into daz BOOM mostly fine again (turns maps into general maps but those can be changed back into triax maps easily)

4: in blender with same model change the weight map or add a new bone and export it back into daz....now none of the bones are lined up as they were in Blender
