Available: Python version of D3D's Gen4 G2 Mat Converter (free)
Just a heads up, D3D kindly obliged to a request I made for a Python version of his Gen4G2 Mat Converter DS script. It's been included in the download @ http://d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?software=dazscript&product=gen4g2mat
The zip file still says DS script, but the python version is in there as well. It works exactly like the DS version, so just as before, you'll need to copy the torso material to the ears. It will process multiple mat files at once.
G2F/G2M do not require DUF materials. PZ2/MC6 will work just fine as long as the material zone names are changed. This script will eliminate the need for Poser users to launch DS just to convert materials.

No more .duf dance? Hallelujah!
That's what I said. I've been using the DS version since March when it was released.
You will still need the V4 for G2F product to obtain the UVs/UV script. What I did, since I was having issues with some Poser scripts and the DSON Importer cohabitating properly, was load G2F in DS, swap the UVs to V4, then save out a CR2 + PMD to retain the morphs.
Thanks. I have both the M4 and V4 products for Genesis 2, so I should be all set. :crosses fingers: The most annoying thing so far has been not being able to put Mike and Vicky skins on New Genesis without all this .duf business. I swear I spend more time converting stuff (and praying it works) than I do actually using it.
It's also a helluva lot faster using this script since you can do multiple mats at once, and you don't even have to have a character loaded to use it.
