Welcome in the world of Art & 3D!!

You are not the only one who has discovered 3D art with a no-art background! I got hold of a PC Format magazine with a free full program of Vue D'Esprit some years ago and later on end up with Daz Studio! I have wrote about how I have started on my blog: http://launok.blogspot.com . I was years working in an admin environment (typist) which I was trained for ... and now as pensioner doing 2D & 3D art! And guess what, I am still learning as there are always new things on the road! :)

Most of the objects I am using is freebies I get all over the internet ... from here, ShareCG up to even SketchUp Warehouse and many, many more sites! SketchUp models when exported as .obj (wavefront) works great in other programs, i.e. Bryce.

are you going to sell some thing ?

I hope to, at some point. I would at least like to leave that option open.

    Hi Laura!

For some reason I'm not being alerted when there's a post here, I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this! I'd love to read about your adventure, I'm on my way to check out your blog this very moment!

Hi there, you are most welcome! I think my story is on an older page though - just scroll down for older pages. I think I have about 3 pages and it should be on page 2 down. I have even tried to build my own model in Bryce which is not actually a model creation program but more for landscape creation. Just want to add here that Bryce was free some time back together with Daz Studio and Hexagon. I got all 3 these free which helped a lot. Only Daz Studio is still free but I think not for too long as on the preview it states now for a limited time only - grab it while you can!
