Hello!
I have some quesions about the "Genesis 2 Female Bot Armor" ( http://www.daz3d.com/clothing-accessories/genesis-2-female-bot-armor ) :
- does this product work like a suit? So do does a G2F figure wear it like other clothes?
- can I hide individual parts of it, so that it looks like pieces of armor on a real female and not like a full robot?
- how many material zones are there which can be hidden or changed?
- are there morphs included to change individual parts (to make them bigger or smaller, thinner or thicker)?
I am very much interested in this armor, but the above questions are very important for me before I buy it. So any answer is very much welcome. Thank you!

No one?
- It works like conforming clothing.
- Yes you can hide different bits. There's a pre-load all, or you can load 1 piece at a time.
- Each piece has 8-12 material zones.
- The only morphs are on the guns for muzzle length, and on the helmet for helmet size.
You can also conform clothing to it after.
here's one I tossed together as an example.
Please don't bump threads.
Ok, sorry for bumping :-)
Thank you very much all together, that´s what I wanted to know. It seems I can buy it. Thank you!
I never thought of that. o_O What part do you use as the conform target? Torso?
Hello again!
Now I have bought and installed the Bot Armor. But there is one big problem:
Whenever I load a part of it, like a hand or a leg, it automatically hides the G2F skin under it. So I cannot hide several parts of it (and make the skin visible) because there is nothing under it. I have checked the surfaces and parameters, but I don´t know how to avoid this.
How can this be done? How can I prevent the Bot parts from making G2F invisible?
Hm. I wonder if these suckers are geografts afterall.
They are geografts and one thing you can do is to apply skin textures to some parts of the geografts (mostly the torso of the expansion pack if I recall correctly), which looks a bit like a mix as shown in the promo shots. But in essence you cannot "hide" them, as they just leave a hole in the figure, due to the geografts replacing the G2F geometry with new. Of course you can only add the specific parts if you want, like e.g. only adding the bot torso to have the rest appear normal and such.
I'm surprised Parris didn't decide to do a second UV map on these like she (he?) did on the Genesis bot. The Genesis bot will accept V4 textures for this very purpose.
Ok guys, thanks for the expalanation. That makes is clear. I have tried the trick with skin textures on some parts, but the result is not very satisfying. So I will return it. Better luck next time :-)
Sorry about that. I've never tried to hide parts on this version before and assumed it worked like the Genesis version. =/
