https://www.daz3d.com/h-c-checkered-shirt-outfit-for-genesis-3-male-s is as close as I think there is. I'd buy one if it was available for G8F, as most of the shirts are either tightly fitted or unbuttoned. There are some Autumn Plaid shaders at Renderosity, that would look nice on it, too.
Maybe if they make one you could convert it.

Different vibe.

Maybe this looks good on men? it's free, worth a try.
Ohh yea this one looks great. But I have to get a converter for it. Thank you.
It's not bad, I just hoped the suspenders were detachable. thank you nonetheless.
Hmm. I've never tried applying female gen8 clothing to male gen8 or vice versa, still kinda new to daz3d. So not sure if it will be worth risking the $20bucks. It looks great on the female thou, so i will add this to my wishlist for the future.
Oh this looks great, comes in multiple layers, and you mentioned its free?! I will try it out. Perfect time to test it out if I can apply female clothing to male model without making it look weird. thank you so much!
Thank you all for taking the time to help me out!
You don't need a converter for G3M clothing on G8M. Autofit in DAZ Studio works fine.
You may need to dial out the character's body shape and use the generic morphs for height and size, but it doesn't distort a whole lot on the G8M basic shape.
I don't have that set, but i have another set from the same PA where you can compare the clothing on the two figures.

@kujamedia: There's a trick for that. Assuming the suspenders have their own surface, you can use the Geometry Editor to select them that way, and then delete the selected polygons. If not, you can set the Selection Mode to "Drag Selection" to select only those you click/drag. Push Alt while doing this, and it will deselect them. Double-click, and you might be surprised how much easier it is. All of this only afffects the model in your scene; a new instance of the shirt loaded into the scene will have suspenders. (You can preview that by setting the suspenders' Surface "Cutout Opacity" property to 0 and make sure there's shirt geometry underneath it. G8 models should all be good; really old models weren't made that way.) Give it a shot, and happy rendering :)
