A question about the Punch discounts

OK, I haven't as yet purchased any of the Punch items during the sale, but today there's a great Bryce product by Horo that's Punchworthy, and in the email it says that if you buy one, you can get a 45% discount on an item in the catalogs of various PAs.

What I'm wondering is, for the 45% discount to show up, do I need to have both items in my cart at the same time?
