Predatron Common Ash Trees
For starters: I like the trees, how they look in Real Life and in the promos :)
On the product page it says:
•This Product Includes: ◦1 DSON Core Installer ◦Poser Companion Files
Does that mean I have to have the dson importer to use it in Poser? And if so, why?
Why is there no Poser core installer?
Just want to know.
Thanks for answering,
Love, Jeanne :)

I can't answer on the "why" part, but th readme says "Use with DAZ Studio 4.6+ and includes PoserCF files for use with DSON Importer for Poser".
So apparently there's no full poser version included, only companion files.
Thank you Leana for responding. :)
And I'm afraid you're right. It's a pity I think and I hope this is not the trend for future releases. I mean, okay, stuff that will/can be used by the Genesis generation... okay for the poser dson but vegetation, architecture, and so on and so on....
Well, I'll deal with it when/if it will come sofar. ;-)
So now only the answer for the why stays.....
Love, Jeanne :)
Thank you for asking a question that I have been wondering about since the last 3 Predatron vegetation type releases. Pred trees and such have always been dual purpose previously.
You're welcome Chohole and I noticed that too with the latest releases. I have a few of their vegetation products (for Poser ánd for DS) and I like them but I want to use them in Poser without dealing with dson. I have multiple runtimes and one is for Genesis and DAZAnimals Stuff and that's as far as I want to go with the dson stuff.... for now
so I'm not ready yet to put plants and stuff in that also. I have a runtime only for vegetation and I would like to keep it that way.
Love, Jeanne :)
I love Steve's vegetation packs and as a Poser (only) user...I am very, very sorry that I will no longer be able to purchase and use them.
the product page lists pp2. is perplexing.
I can confirm that there are no native Poser files.
As per the product page
The pp2 file will be to load the .duf file via a Python call, and perhaps to apply Poser materials.
