I love that western stuff is coming back - some of these sets are amazing, especially the G8 ponchos :) The quality of models is so vastly improved since M4's day, but some laments persist. Please forgive me if this rants a bit; I can't seem to help it  lol... It's mostly wishlist with reasons why.

Firearms gear suffers from the same woes as many archery products and poses. It seems the artists creating them don't shoot so they don't fully understand what they're emulating. That's not meant as any kind of personal attack; it just is what it is. For example: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-gunslinger-for-genesis-8-males. Try strapping that gunbelt on and walking two steps: it'll fall right to the floor. And that's without inserting an iconic Colt Peacemaker weighing 2.3 pounds. A belt has to be anchored above the hip to stay up! The best one on the market I've found so far is https://www.daz3d.com/dusty-hd-cowgirl-outfit-for-genesis-8-females (it's got real-life backpanels and actual ties!) but it's problematic too: the holsters grossly outsize the pistols, and they're backwards (which was available but not most people's preference. The cavalry preferred it, as in the image below).

@DzFire's series especially https://www.daz3d.com/old-west-firearms-vol-1 offer beautiful, faithful models of historical hardware - belts to accompany them, of like quality, would be such a great help. Some of them had very specific accoutrements. Note the straps on the rifle holster in the images, for attaching it to the saddle.

Cowboy chaps are very different from Harley Davidson chaps. They're not just tube sleeves for your legs, but they do have to protect you and the horse from chafing when riding all day long. In other words... there are heavy-duty ties - no buckles please, except at the waist - and they go on the outside, not the inside. (https://www.daz3d.com/cowboy-outfit-for-genesis-3-male-s has some great features, but chaps isn't one of them. And... ummm... https://www.daz3d.com/wild-west-m3-cowboy...)

Others on the wishlist include a McClellan Saddle and other gear for US Cavalry. The saddle in the picture is reproduced in miniature but it has all the basic elements in context.

I'd love to see a bib shirt for men, with style morphs for unfastening the indicated buttons so the front folds down (top button is always a nice touch too).

And as long as we're here... maybe a Bowie knife and sheath, please? With a historical handle, not the modern tactical style....

Thanks for reading this. I feel better just for having put it out there  : )
