Yet Another Newbie Question...

I'm working on my first character, and I'm curious- is there a standard scale that I should be using when adjusting the size of my character? So that I can make all 4 of them separately, yet have them scaled appropriately when I add all 4 to a scene?

Thanks for your patience as I learn!

A couple of possibilities. You can just make yourself a ruler from one of the primitives, save it and load it when you make a new character. That way you can see the relative sizes without having to load the whole figure.

If you want it more sophisticated you could get this plugin: http://www.daz3d.com/measure-metrics-for-daz-studio
It allows you to measure anything in real world units. I use it to set my characters to the size I envision for them (1.90m for that guy, 1.65m for her and so on...) Very handy.

This does work very well, except, when a Pose applied has Scale set to on in any of the settings, then POP your right back to the default size of the figure the pose was saved from. One to watch for and may not even notice sometimes. I did not at first. So if you use MM get in the habit of Locking the scaling on your finished figures before you save them for use again. Or any scaled figure really.
