Fine-grained Forward/Backward Camera Movements

Hi all,

So I am in the process of learning Carrara using PhillW's "Learning Carrara" online course. BTW I am pretty fluent in DAZ Studio now.

In DAZ Studio I can move the camera pretty close to a figure's face using the scroll wheel (under Windows). However in Carrara the scroll wheel movements seems to be more coarse, when I close in on a figure's face one scroll wheel click I'm to far from the face and the next click I'm already behind the figure.

Is there a setting/trick/keyboard shortcut to use in combination with the scroll wheel to have more fine-grained forward/baclward movements of the camera?

Try making the camera really tiny.

I believe the control you are looking for is under SCENE --> INTERFACE tab --> NUDGE SIZE

    Hi All,

"ALT+Middle Mouse" will give you fine grained control of zoom.

Edit: You might fined ALT+Right Mouse and ALT+Left Mouse (Dolly and Pan) useful too.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi eyesee,

Alt+Middle mouse is good to know too, even though it's a little bit awkward to use with the scroll wheel.

I'm using Alt+Right Mouse and Alt+Left Mouse all the time :-)
