Display Optimization causes a meshsplosion on EVGA GTX 770 FTW 4GB

I have zero idea what's causing this. I'm merely trying to use x/z translate to move Genesis to another spot, and in the viewport it looks like only part of her moves while the other part explodes; however, the render remains completely unharmed.
I've saved the scene and restarted DS with no change in what's happening.
Viewport: top
Spot render: bottom

I've updated the title since I know why it's exploding, but now I'd like to know why display optimization causes it.

Have you tried messing around with the Display Optimization in Preferences, a long time ago, I had to switch mine to 'None' since it was causing problems too (a couple of years ago)
I have left it at that ever since, and I have had no problems. It is obviously a video problem, since the renders are OK, but if changing some of your Preferences doesn't work, then you may need to look for another driver for your card.
It seems strange that it happened all of a sudden with this one scene though if it is the driver? Perhaps there was an automatic update or something?
Yes,, I feel samething as Jimmy suggested,,
as for me, my AMD direver (old version) needed to set the preference,
"best" to "better. but nowdays I have not met same thing,,
And one more option, before I often get trouble ,is tool setting,
when you open tool tab,
you can see "During manipulation" option.
you may find subdivision and skinbinding,
as for me,, before I needed to change setting of skin binding or it often cause such trouble.
Full or Optimize, but I did not remember,, which was right option.
about newest daz studio,, I had not meet same problem yet,,
but I feel,, sometimes I have experienced same thing before,,,
then when you save current poze, as poze preset, then once apply zero poze, can it work without problem?
after that try to apply poze preset, again,, if it work,,,
I had the same issues and the solution was to set the display optimisations to "none". That was the only way to cure it on my ATI 7750 graphics card (latest official driver).
Setting the display optimization to none was what cured it for me. I'm not really sure why since I have a GTX 770 FTW 4GB card. There's plenty in there to handle it. I'm on the latest drivers.
My ATI card also has 4GB VRAM. I dont know what the display optimisation is good for. Maybe it was only useful on some older cards but is not needed anyway on newer ones. Some clarification about the display optimisation settings would be nice.
It's supposed to help speed up the viewport by storing more of the geometry in the card's ram.
Ah, ok. But as we see, it does not work with new and powerful cards. But on the other side, I do not have any (noteable) slowdowns with the setting set to "none".
lol Me neither so far, but I don't do huge scenes in DS, and tend to hide bits that aren't visible to the cam (unless specifically placed for the shadows only). Most of my rendering is done in Poser, so I have no idea when this bugger would've started.
I need to reboot this thread since I'm hitting this issue again with Oskarsson's new creepy people.
With display optimization set to best, the pose breaks the mesh completely, but with display optimization set to none or better, the pose works perfectly fine.
I don't see why this is happening as it worked with my old card, which was a lot less powerful than my new card.
Old card: EVGA GTX 460 1GB Superclocked (2 of them in SLI running at PCIe 2.0 x8/x8)
New card: EVGA GTX 770 4GB FTW (1 of them- 3.0 card running in a 2.0 x16 slot)
Card requirements:
600 Watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 42 Amp on the +12 volt rail.****
PCI Express, PCI Express 2.0 or PCI Express 3.0 compliant motherboard with one graphics slot.
An available 6-pin PCI-E power connector and an available 8 pin PCI-E power connector
Windows 8 32/64bit, Windows 7 32/64bit, Windows Vista 32/64bit, Windows XP 32/64bi
My specs:
1200 watt Corsair AX1200 w/ 100.4A on 12v
PCIe 2.0
Power pins connected.
Windows 7 64bit
Driver is up to date. DS 64bit 4.6.3.52
