Hi was just wondering ,I usually in the past have created all my props in a 3D modeling app /uv'd it then saved out the OBJ imported it into poser, and just saved it as a prop in the props library.
what is Daz's correct method of getting the same done for distribution (or any link to the process would be greatly appreciated)
right now Im saving stuff as 'scenes" in Daz Studio cause its the only way I figured out so far that re loads the prop i created.

thank you

File>Save as>Support Asset>Figure/Prop Asset. The option dialogue will ask for an author and product name - those determine where, in the Data folder, the geometry files are saved (DS doesn't refer to the OBJ once the asset is created). I recommend creating a new, empty, content directory and saving the asset to that - and placing your textures in the \Runtime\Textures folder there before applying them - so that you have everything in one place and can just add a readme, then zip it up, ready to distribute.
