Are there any work-arounds for mutated boots? (M4 -> Genesis)
I know this problem has be brought up by others before. I mentioned it in another thread, but I figured I should bring the problem up directly here.
I am making some sprites of a NAZI SS guard for a game mod I am working on. I found a good looking uniform at http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/german-ss-black-uniform-wwii/103545. I decided to work with Genesis, because Genesis has lots of morphs and because clothing matches the morphs with Genesis. The autoconvert worked fairly well (with a few hicups) and most of the uniform converted well, but the boots are awful! They look like someone took a glob of pastercine and mashed it around Genesis's foot. My SS guard's jackboots went from bad ass to just plain bad.
(Note: In the first picture the boots are simply placed in position, not parented to Genesis. The boots in the second picture are parented to Genesis.)
A friend pointed out a thread addressing a possible workaround for this problem here (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/7942/). I tried the method described and it did seem to stop the boots from mutating, but the boots when fitted to Genesis are positioned too high up on the leg, putting the soles of the boots in roughly the position of the tops of the feet.
Is there anybody who knows of any other possible work-arounds for preventing mutated boots on Genesis?

Sickleyield has a rigging and morphing system for Genesis, which has some better projection templates when using autofit with Gen4 clothing.

Really read the manual on this sucker, especially when it comes to footwear.
At this time there is no perfect shoe fix that I have tried. I find all methods work on some shoes and fail on others. I have not found a method that works every time. I just move on and find shoes for the Genesis figure that are close to what I need and use those. By the way that's not as bad a M4 shoe fit as I have seen before, in truth that one is pretty good for auto convert.
