I have pointed Faveral to this question. Hopefully he'll pop by soon. :)

    Hi! :)
The Raccolet house is the reproduction of a real house in a very picturesque little village in France, just a few miles from where I grew up. (Moret sur Loing)
This village is often used as a set for period movies (Cyrano de Bergerac with Depardieu for example, was partly shot there)
There are plenty more gorgeous places in this village.
Unfortunately, I was kind of dissapointed with the sales of this house.
Understandably, a single building is harder to use in a render than a whole series of buildings.
This is why I decided to discontinue making more reproductions of buildings from this town.

St Michael's gate was actually one of the gatehouses guarding Paris. Unfortunately it has been taken down a long time ago. All that is left of it is engravings from the time it was still standing. These are what I used as reference to reconstruct it.
