where is the manual d/l of valentina? is it bundled in the carrara exe installer?

i'm looking to make sure my ca files are backed up in case the new ds install hoses my ca install.

is valentina bundled into the carrara installer?


i can't remember. was so exhausted at the time.

    Not sure. Maybe look at these threads for some more information on what to avoid and how to fix things should something get hosed.

    I don't think so, but since you don't use DIM you won't be installing the PostgreSQL CMS when you update DS.

    I had to figure this out too. The older CMS is installed as part of DIM. I could have sworn it used to be installed along with Daz Studio. You might be able to find the installer already on your hard drive, in the folder where DIM is installed.

    why did they have to take away the valentina d/l? was it hurting anybody?

    There was never a Valentina download. It has always been available only 3 ways:
    1) install DS, which the current standalone installer still does
    2) install DIM
    3) run the CMS installer in the DIM program folder

    I don't quite understand what your issue is. If you don't use DIM, you can't install PostgreSQL CMS, so none of that is relevant for you.
