Region navigator problem

I'm having trouble with the region navigator, wherever I move my cursor a highlight appears that blots out everything and it is making editing very difficult.
Clicking the icon doesn't have any effect, is there a setting somewhere that governs how it performs?
My DAZ seems to have suddenly got a lot better than it used to be - vast improvement.(4.6.3.52) Well done guys.

    Windows > Panes > Tool Settings, under "Node Highlighting" change Draw Style to "Bounding Box Only"
